GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The SL1188 Ultrasonic clamp on flow meters is a state-of-the-art universal transit-time flowmeter designed using SLSI technology and low voltage broadband  pulse  transmission.  While  principally  designed  for  clean  liquid  applications,  the  instrument  is  tolerant of liquids with small amounts of air bubbles or suspended solids found in most industrial environments.
The SiteLab SL1188 Flow meters is a state-of-the-art universal transit time Flow Meter for Heavy Industrial applications. Sophisticated electronics incorporating the latest developments in digital signal processing coupled with powerful ultrasonic transducers deliver highly accurate flow measurement for liquids in full pipes. While principally designed for clean liquid applications, the instrument is tolerant of liquids with a small quantity of air bubbles or suspended solids common in most industrial applications. 
The SL1188 ultrasonic clamp on flow meters offers low power consumption, high reliability, and outstanding applicability at an economical price. An easy to read display and clear, user-friendly menu selections make using the instrument simple and convenient. The instrument can be configured via keypad without any additional programming devices, is packaged in a die cast IP65 housing, and is available in your choice of non-invasive clamp-on or insertion transducer configurations.

The SL1188 ultrasonic flow meters features a self-contained 4-20 mA current loop signal output for instantaneous flow, as well as two independent temperature inputs for thermal energy monitoring. The instrument also features a 7 digit alpha- numeric display, parallel operation of positive, negative and net flow totalizers (with user-selectable scale factors) and configurable pulse and frequency outputs (transmitted via relay and open collector) for totalized flow.

Explosion-proof enclosure (Optional) :

If going to place a sl1188 ultrasonic flow meters in an explosive atmosphere  (hazardous area), the ultrasonic flow meter’s explosion proof enclosure should be installed in a positively vented area. Before connecting the power supply, the user should create positive ventilation more than 5 times the enclosure volume for air exchange. The user must install the ultrasonic flow meters wiring in a safe area that  would not cause sparking or arcing due to short circuiting or wire breakage. Cables and wires should be installed through explosion-proof conduit. Explosion-proof threaded conduit unions should be used between the wired conduits, conduits and junction boxes. The available thread. engagement  into the fitting should be more than 5-6 threads. When flexible connections are needed, ex-proof flexible cable conduits can be used.

Installation Site Selection


When selecting a measurement site, it is important to select an area where the fluid flow profile is fully developed to guarantee a highly accurate measurement. Use the following guidelines to select a proper installation site:

  • Choose a section of pipe that is always full of liquid, such as a vertical pipe with flow in the upward direction or a full horizontal pipe.
  • Ensure enough straight  pipe length at least equal to the figure shown below for the upstream and down stream transducers installation.



Clamp-on Transducers Installation Methods 

Clamp-on Ultrasonic Flow meters are installed simply by applying coupling compound on the bottom of the transducers and strapping them to the outside of the pipe. The SiteLab units are user friendly and easily set up in just a few minutes by means of an interactive display, whereby various parameters, such as the type of fluid to be measured, pipe size, thickness of the pipe wall and material of construction, are all entered into the unit and the unit then computes the data in order to give the setting distance between the two ultrasonic sensors.

The fixed unit consists of a wall mount electronics package housed in a Nema 4X (IP65) enclosure and two clamp-on sensors that are permanently clamped to the outside of the pipe. The electronics package offers an easy to read 2-line LCD display with a 16x pushbutton keypad for setting up purposes that utilises a simple menu driven process that makes setting-up very easy and convenient for the operator. A 4-20 mA current loop output as well as pulse and frequency outputs enable the unit to be used for continuous monitoring of flow as well as for totalising and batch operations. The unit is powered from a mains or DC voltage supply.

For applications where monitoring is infrequent, or where it is required to spot-check the operation of pumps or other process equipment, such as the flow through heat exchangers, the SiteLab model SL1188P portable ultrasonic flowmeter can be used. It offers a great advantage in ease of setting up since it utilises Bluetooth communications between the flowmeter and a Tungsten Palm PDA device to allow for greater portability and increased battery life. The software included with the system enables the PDA display to be used in the same way as the interactive display on the model SL1188 fixed unit. The PDA display and stylus offers the same functions and ease of setting up of parameters that are downloaded to the flowmeter by Bluetooth wireless technology from up to 10 m away. The Tungsten PDA offers enhanced functions for logging and trending in a realtime environment or for later visual interpretation with its unique graphing function.

The SiteLab SL1188P portable ultrasonic flowmeter is supplied in a handy and lightweight carry case with the flowmeter, sensors, PDA, battery charger and all standard accessories. Wiratama Mitra Abadi berdiri tahun 2004 sesuai dengan akte pendirian perusahaan No. 122, tanggal 16 September 2004 dengan mendapat pengesahan Mentri Kehakiman no. C-08920 HT.01.01.TH.2004.
Pada mula berdirinya Wiratama Mitra Abadi menkhususkan pada pekerjaan Installasi, over haul dan maintenance mesin produksi atau equipment pendukung produksi.
Sesuai dengan tuntutan pelanggan Pada January 2006 Wiratama Mitra Abadi berhasil melengkapi workshop dengan permesinannya seperti mesin bubut, mesin milling, mesin grinding dan mesin drilling serta mesin welding. Workshop banyak digunakan untuk melakukan pekerjaan pembuatan komponen2 seperti shaft, gear, base plate dan lainnya saat ditemukan adanya parts yang rusak ataupun aus pada pekerjaan over haul, maintenance dan installasi.
Selain menjadi pendukung pekerjaan over haul dan maintenance workshop juga menerima pekerjaan machinning seperti pembuatan punch and dies, shaft, hydraulic cylinder, railling, stainles steel, rack, pallet, tanki, conveyor, lifter dan pekerjaan lainnya yang berhubungan dengan permesinan yang kami miliki.

Saat menangani pekerjaan over haul dan maintenance sering ditemukan parts yang rusak dimana customer banyak yang kesulitan dalam mendapatkan parts terebut karena tidak ada agen di Indonesia atau karena telah discontinue. Guna membantu customer dan memenuhi target waktu pekerjaan Kami mencari dan membeli  langsung ke principle atapun ke machine maker.

Begitu seringnya melakukan pembelian spare parts langsung atau import ke jepang, eropa, amerika, china, taiwan dan korea membuat wiratama mempunyai jaringan pengadaan spare parts cukup luas. Sehingga Wiratama Mitra Abadi banyak sekali di minta customer untuk mensuplai parts, equipment atau mesin yang tidak ada Agennya di Indonesia atau Indent yang terlalu lama ( 2-4 bulan).

Dengan adanya pengalaman seperti diatas pada awal tahun 2008 Wiratama menambah bidang kerja dengan membantu customer untuk supply parts teknik. Dengan mengembangkan bidang technical suplier untuk parts, mesin atau equpment manufacture yang terbatas pada parts atau mesin atau peralatan seperti : Flow measurement, level sensor, oil skimmer, electrical connector, air motor, gas analyzer, Parts hydraulic, PLC, Servo serta peralatan electric dan otomasi lainnya.

Hingga saat ini Wiratama Mitra Abadi banyak diminta oleh priciple untuk membantu customer mereka yang ada di Indonesia diantaranya adalah : NGK gas analyzer, Flstronic Flow meterAlia Flow meter, Daehan Sensor, DFM Technoton, Sibas heavy duty Connector,  Air Motor.
