Sage Gas Flow Sensors

Sage Metering is your source for monitoring and controlling the gas mass flow in your manufacturing process, building management system or environmental application. Our high performance, NIST Traceable, Thermal Mass Flow Meters will help increase productivity, reduce energy costs, maximize product yields, and/or help reduce environmental insult. Sage provides high quality In-line and Insertion Thermal Mass Flow Meters for a wide variety of industrial, commercial, and environmental monitoring needs, including carbon credit verification for Greenhouse Gas Reduction.
Sage Metering is an innovative manufacturer of high-performance natural gas flow meters and thermal mass flow meters for gas flow measurement. The company has brought to market the first thermal mass flow meter to utilize graphical displays, a hybrid digitally driven circuit and the industry’s first in-situ calibration verification system. These state-of-the-art award–winning features deliver the highest performance, reliability and confidence for any thermal flow meter user.rudy
At a single glance, the high contrast graphical display provides flow rate, temperature, total flow, a bar graph, and diagnostic information. The innovative digitally-driven circuit eliminates the traditional drift-prone analog Wheatstone bridge utilized by our competition. This advancement in circuit design improves stability by eliminating long-term drift and provides for a reproducible zero flow data point.
The reproducible zero flow data flow point enables the user to perform a simple single-point in-situ calibration verification procedure, which verifies that the flow meter continues to operate within the accuracy specifications of the original NIST traceable calibration. This simple, and unique to Sage Metering procedure, can be performed without interrupting the process and does not require removal of the flow instrument from the pipe or any additional hardware.
Sage Metering has been an industry leader in high performance Thermal Mass Flow Meters, and has pioneered numerous innovations, including introducing a digital method of driving the sensor (versus the traditional drift-prone Wheatstone Bridge). We are the only Thermal MFM Manufacturer that provides an “In-Situ Calibration Check” that assures that the Flow Meter still retains the original NIST Traceable Calibration. This simple 3-step check is conducted at a “No-Flow” (0 SCFM) condition, which aside from verifying the meter’s accuracy, also confirms that the sensor is clean, and that the Flow Meter hasn’t drifted or shifted.

Coriolis Mass Flow Transmitter RHE07/08

Multifunction Coriolis Mass  Flow Transmitter Series

The RHE08 transmitter is designed for field mounting. With a weatherproof exterior, the RHE08 can be wall or panel-front mounted. The UV resistant display window will not crack, craze or cloud over time. Externally mounted buttons provide convenient operator access to all process variables and setup information. Cable entries are adaptable for flex, armoured cable or conduit and all terminations are accessible through a separate cover plate.
The RHE08 transmitter can be used with an RHM sensor in a hazardous area (RHE08 in safe area or in Zone 2). CSA certified versions of the RHE08 can be mounted in a Class 1, Div 2 area.

The RHE07 is designed to sit in a standard 19″ Eurocard style rack. The transmitter has two Eurocard connectors on the back to allow the unit to be plugged into an integrated rack system directly. For standalone applications, the RHE07 is easily adapted to panel mount and has a screw terminal adapter accessory to allow field wiring to be connected directly to the rear of the unit.

The RHE07 transmitter can be used with an RHM sensor in a hazardous area (RHE07 in safe area).CSA certified versions of the RHE07 must be mounted in a safe area.

Turbine Water Flow Meter TX Series

The TX100/200-Series are adjustable depth insertion turbines that come in brass or 316 stainless models to fit 3” to 40” pipe. Adapters mate with standard 1-1/2” (11x/21x) or 2” (15x/25x) FNPT threaded fittings such as saddles and weldolets which may be purchased either locally or from Seametrics.

Ruby bearings and a non-drag pickoff give these adjustable insertion turbine flow sensors a wide flow range and long life. A sensor detects the passage of miniature magnets in the rotor blades. The resulting square-wave signal can be sent for hundreds of feet without a transmitter, over unshielded cable. This signal can be connected directly to many PLC’s and other controls without any additional electronics.

A modular system of electronics can be installed directly on the flow sensor or mounted remotely. The FT430 (externally powered with pulse), FT440 (loop powered), and FT450 (battery powered) all provide digital rate and total displays, as well as a programmable pulse; the FT440 also provides a 4-20 mA analog output. The AO55 is a blind analog (4-20 mA) transmitter. Programmable pulse for pump pacing is available with the PD10.

FEATURES

  • Wide flow range
  • One moving part
  • Hot tap available
  • Modular electronics compatible
  • Easily depth adjustable for 3-40” pipe

APPLICATIONS

  • Clean water
  • Large pipes
  • Aquariums, water parks
  • Water & waste water monitoring

The “hot-tap” models (TX15x/25x) can be installed or serviced without shutting down the line by means of a 2” full-port isolation valve that comes with a nipple for installation on the pipe fitting. In most circumstances, no special tool is required.
